Paperless cash processes: ALVARA | Digital Solutions develops ICC app for iOS further

Interactive Cash Control, or ICC in short, has for some time been the leading and established industry solution for the effective and transparent control of the cash cycle between financial, retail and cash-in-transit companies. This summer, the success story continues. The ICC app – as a mobile supplement or alternative to the web-based platform solution – will soon be available not only for Android devices, but also for Apple iOS. In the process, ALVARA | Digital Solutions has also thought of the functional further development with two new features.

“The feedback from our customers has shown that there is an urgent need for an app that combines all cash management processes for store employees and significantly eases the workload for cash-in-transit companies when dealing with their customers. Partly because the 100 percent digital processes on both sides lead to a paperless and thus more sustainable way of working,” summarizes Steven Schwarznau, Managing Director of ALVARA | Digital Solutions. “That’s why several tens of thousands of users are already working with the ICC app today. A further development for iOS, the second most popular operating system, was more than an obvious choice to us for these reasons – if only because many savings banks, among others, also rely on Apple devices.”

This summer, the new version of the ICC app for iOS will be released in the App Store. Apple users will then also be able to benefit from the previous advantages – first and foremost, a paperless and PC-free back office for all cash processes in the retail sector. Potential customers can also look forward to the smart ordering of change and the simple and intuitive submission of proceeds via smartphone. Digital driver legitimation, push notifications and digital receipts also mean that processes can be accelerated and data is immediately available everywhere – at head office and in finance.

As part of the further development, ALVARA | Digital Solutions has extended the benefits of the ICC app even further. In the future, for example, two new functions will be added that advance the company’s three core themes of security, efficiency and transparency. “With digital document storage, old documents can be quickly backed up as needed. For this purpose, the employee enters a photo and description in the app – nothing more is required. The ICC app now also has smart documentation ready for stored cash register stocks or drawers: after the cash register is closed, the sealed cash registers can be scanned via the app in the evening and thus recorded. Overnight, the usual storage takes place in the safe in the store. The next morning, a complete check is much easier thanks to scanning via the ICC app, and errors are virtually eliminated. It also eliminates the need for paper documentation, which is still a common occurrence,” explains Steven Schwarznau.

The continuous digital mapping of cash processes in the ICC app enables retailers and cash-in-transit providers to reduce unwelcome media disruptions, avoid multiple entries, and reduce errors of all kinds in their collaboration. In addition, interaction between the parties involved can be standardized and automated to a large extent. Heterogeneous communication between stores and cash-in-transit companies is thus a thing of the past – in the future, even for iOS advocates.
